In April we were able to pass House Bill 2458 into law. This will allow not only cancer patients, but all patients to donate back unused medications to a pharmacy and other patients in need of high cost meds to have access to these unused medications. High cost medications are a huge problem in the oncology world. We are working with pharmacists around the state to develop a group of pharmacists who will accept back medications and redistribute them. Our funds this year are going to creating an online database that these pharmacists will use to enter returned medications and allow residents throughout the state to find their needed medication.
